Nairobi - Kitui - Naivasha - Masai Mara - Nairobi
25th Aug – 4th Sept 2026 (in Norway 5th)
Tuesday 25th Aug, Arrival in Nairobi. The beginning of the adventure.
Latest day for arrival in Nairobi. On arrival you are met by your safari driver guide who are waiting for you at the international arrival wing. We will drive directly to our guesthouse. Approx 30 minutes drive.

Wednesday 26th Aug, Drive to Kwa Wasya Village in Kitui
We start this first day in Kenya to drive straight to Kitui where will shall stay in Kwa Wasya village for 4 nights. The driving hours take approx 4 hours. We will stop for lunch and to visit a wood carving factory. The drive itself is an experience and will give you an insight into what daily life is like out in the countryside.

Thursday 27st Aug, Dawn in Kwa Wasya - meet the locals
In the morning you will wake up to the sounds of animals on the farm. After breakfast we will do home visits in the village. We will meet some of the women that are helped to run their own small micro-business from the organization Help to Selfhelp in Africa. After lunch we will do our first visit to Kitui School for the Mentally Handicapped. The safari includes a project for the students at this school. Today we will decorate a freshly painted wall in one of the dormitories. Hopefully we will do this together with some of the students.
After a short walk in Kitui town, we will have dinner at Kitui Villa Hotel.
Here they have a swimming pool.

Friday 28th Aug, Be a Kamba for a day - Culture and unity
Today we will interact with the locals in Kwa Wasya village for different activities, and have a lot of fun. Kamba is the name of the tribe in this area. Also called "Kamba-people". We will meet Kanini Women Group, also called Basked Ladies, and children participating in an English reading circle. A program run by Help to Selfhelp - Children in Africa.

Saturday 29th Aug - Kitui School for Collaboration
New visit to Kitui School to complete our planned project. We will come back to what activities we are going to do, but it will involve upgrading one of the dormitories. Dinner at Kitui Villa Hotel

Sunday 30th Aug, Our Safari begin
After early breakfast at Flamingo farm we say goodbye to our new friends and start our safari to Naivasha. Today we have a long driving distance. We will see coffee and tea plantations, the pineapple plantations of Del Monte, small villages and magnificent scenery when we reach the famous Rift Valley.
We will stop for lunch at Chania Falls in Thika. After check-in to our resort we have time for a swim and a drink before dinner.

Monday 31st August. Lake Naivasha. Wonders of nature
We will start before breakfast (at 6am) with a 1-hour guided boat trip on the lake to see hippos, birds, and other wildlife. After breakfast you can do mountain walk in Hells Gate, SPA treatment, or just relax by the swimming pool. Dinner at your resort.

Tuesday 1st September - Masai Mara National Park
We start from the hotel after breakfast. We will stop for picnic lunch on the way to Masai Mara.
In the afternoon we relax at the swimming pool. Dinner 7pm followed by Masai dance.

Wednesday 2nd September - Full day game drive in the park
Today we have full day game drive in this beautiful park.
Picnic lunch in the wilderness. We are back to the lodge at 6pm. Dinner at the lodge.

Thursday 3rd September - Back to Nairobi
Today we drive back to Nairobi and direct to Kitengela Glass Blow factory. We will have lunch at Kitengela. After lunch we will visit Kazuri Beads Factory, and a small Maasai market before we are back to our guesthouse. Dinner at Blackwood in walking distance from the guesthouse.

Friday 4th September - Farewell to Kenya - memories for a lifetime
On this last day we will visit a Giraffe centre where you can feed the giraffes with your own hands. We will also visit a small Maasai marked outside Nairobi, and Kazuri beads factory.
Lunch at 4-You restaurant before we drive back to our guesthouse for final packing.
We will drive to the airport in good time for the flight departures.

Not included:

We have to take reservations for variation in the different currencies and other conditions we do not control. There may be minor changes in the program depending on weather conditions, special wishes from the participants, and other issues we can not forsee.
